Jenny-the-Sheep has become the star of the Craft Bakery, winning over everyone who met her as our chocolatiers dreamed up this year’s Easter range. A thick white chocolate egg hand-decorated with a swirly white chocolate fleece, finished with a cute dark chocolate face and a hand-piped royal iced daisy.
While a lot of white chocolate is overly sweet, ours is rich and creamy with the taste of real milk, made from generous amounts of luxurious cocoa butter, Swiss cream and milk.
Jenny gets her name from the talented Bettys chocolatier who created her – Jenny Mills, who has been making chocolates in our Craft Bakery for 21 one years (and counting!).
"The Yorkshire Dales in springtime inspired me to create Jenny-the-Sheep – sheep are part of our landscape and at its heart, I love them and have always wanted to make a chocolate one.
The most fun thing about making ‘Jenny’ is the coat, which involves piping white chocolate in overlapping circles, gradually covering the surface of the egg to make a lovely woolly fleece. And I also love piping her face – this is when each egg’s personality develops. It really makes me smile, each one is different and I have a favourite in each batch!” – Jenny Mills, Bettys Chocolatier.
