This rich, buttery cake begins with currants, raisins and sultanas soaked in strong Yorkshire Tea, a traditional technique to make them plump and juicy and ensure a moreish, deliciously moist fruit cake.
The magic ingredient is, of course, Yorkshire Tea, blended by our friends at Taylors. It adds a lovely malty depth to create a tempting, deliciously approachable (and alcohol-free) fruit cake that the whole family can enjoy.
Some enjoy a slice spread with salted butter, many devour it as it comes; what’s essential is a fine cup of tea, and of course Yorkshire Gold is the perfect match.
