A favourite seasonal tradition in the Craft Bakery, our Simnel cakes are a decadent feast for anyone who loves fruit and marzipan. A little lighter than our dark, treacly Christmas cakes, but no less rich thanks to a feast of rum-soaked currants, sultanas and fragrant citrus peels and an extravagance of toasted continental marzipan – a continental trick to bring out the flavour of roasted almonds and subtle notes of caramel.

The Apostle cake is perhaps the most classic in the range, with its decoration of toasted marzipan balls to honour the eleven faithful disciples. The perfect centrepiece for an Easter Feast...alongside your favourite chocolatey treats.
