Make your house Bettys beautiful this Easter

If you're finding that you have a little more time on your hands than usual and you fancy getting crafty this Easter, we're here to help. Robyn Cox is Bettys’ ‘Head of Beautiful’ and creates our lovely window displays. Now he’s turned his attention to beautifying your home this Easter with these three styling suggestions.

Please stay safe and socially distanced if you leave your home to get hold of props for your displays.

1. An Easter table setting

We might not be gathering together in the normal way this Easter, but don't let that stop the celebrations. Add personality and fun to your home with a pretty, seasonal table setting. Decorate tables with colourful floral centrepieces such as tulips and daffodils, and add texture and a sense of the outdoors with moss and willow nests.

Easter bunny napkins

This is a really simple way to bring a bit of fun to your Easter table and includes a tasty treat for your guests to take home or nibble at the end of the meal. Start by laying your napkin flat, then roll it up and around a Pink Shimmer Egg or Hazelnut & Almond Egg. Add bunny ears by tying the napkin together at the top with string or a colourful ribbon.

A playful place setting

Another easy way to bring some soft spring colour to your table is to simply lay some Easter Butter Biscuits on napkins. In the example we've chosen some simple crockery and linen napkins and added a pop of colour with an accent plate and a decorated biscuit. Add a personal touch by icing the initials or names of those in your household onto the biscuits.

2 An Easter tree

Decorating your house with an Easter tree is a lovely way to celebrate the arrival of spring. It adds a splash of colour and makes a stylish display for an entrance table or centrepiece for your dining table during Easter weekend.

How to make your own Easter Tree

Collect some some branches or use some artificial pussy willow and place them in a vase or ceramic jug. Decorate them with our Papier-Mâché Egg with Milk Chocolate Eggs and some blown eggs. If you have children, get them involved too – painting the eggs in colourful patterns is great fun.

Around the base of the tree arrange some pots of narcissi or spring bulbs topped with moss. Create pops of colour with bowls filled to the brim with our Milk Chocolate Eggs or Milk Chocolate Sugar-Coated Miniature Eggs.

3. A nest centerpiece

An Easter nest makes a stunning centerpiece for a spring table. We made ours using silver birch twigs, twisting them round to create a natural-looking nest. We’ve filled this one with moss and a Spring Bloom Egg - it's pretty in pink.
