Recipe: Chocolate milkshake with a difference

Our award-winning hot chocolate makes the most delicious, velvety drink for wintry days, but it also makes a lovely, refreshing milkshake for when the weather is warmer.


Ingredients

(Serves two)

  • 70g Bettys Swiss dark chocolate granules
  • 100ml whole milk
  • 300ml whole milk
  • Two scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • Two scoops of chocolate ice cream
  • Two long drinking straws
  • Method

    1. In a heavy-based saucepan bring the first measure of milk to a simmer.

    2. Place the hot chocolate granules into a one litre jug and pour over the hot milk. Whisk until the granules have dissolved and the colour is even.

    3. Pour in the second measure of milk and add the vanilla ice cream.

    4. With a handheld blender, mix the ingredients together to form a frothy milkshake.

    5. Divide the milkshake between two 250ml glasses.

    6. Place a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top of each and sprinkle with a few Bettys hot chocolate granules. Add the drinking straws and serve immediately.
