A name change in Ilkley

The story of Bettys Ilkley actually starts with C. E. Taylor who, in 1896, opened the Kiosk Café in the building that Bettys still occupies today. The Kiosk Café provided teas and freshly roasted coffees along with light refreshments. When Taylors was acquired by Bettys in 1962, the Kiosk Café was refurbished and reopened as a Bettys tea room two years later.

The hidden gem

Bettys Stonegate is our hidden gem. A quaint, cheerful Tea Room just a few steps from the famous Bettys on St Helen’s Square but with a character all of its own. Regulars would prefer that we didn’t tell you about it – they treasure their secret Bettys – so let’s just keep it between us, shall we?
