Surely one of our loveliest teas, this is China Congou black leaf tea layered with pink rose petals.

It's a mellow, sweet-tasting tea with a wonderfully perfumed aroma. An elegant tea to serve with cakes and pastries in the afternoon.

Please note: this tea is sourced by our sister company Taylors of Harrogate, and is delivered in Taylors packaging. Taylors joined the Bettys business in the 1960s when it was purchased after an overheard conversation in our Harrogate branch. Since then it has become one of the country's leading tea blenders and coffee roasters.

Use a warmed teapot and add one teaspoon of tea per person. Add freshly boiled water and infuse for 2-3 minutes. Serve without milk.

Making the Perfect Pot of Tea: Use a warmed teapot, add one teaspoon of tea per person and one for the pot and pour on water that's just off the boil. Leave to infuse for 4-5 minutes, pour through a tea strainer and serve with milk or lemon
