For our Earl Grey we use the very best China black tea, blended with enough natural oil of bergamot to impart a subtle citrus flavour, with a delicate fragrance.

Please note: this tea is sourced by our sister company Taylors of Harrogate, and is delivered in Taylors packaging. Taylors joined the Bettys business in the 1960s when it was purchased after an overheard conversation in our Harrogate branch. Since then it has become one of the country's leading tea blenders and coffee roasters.

Earl Grey can be served with or without milk, at any time of the day.

Making the Perfect Pot of Tea: Use a warmed teapot, add one teaspoon of tea per person and one for the pot and pour on water that's just off the boil. Leave to infuse for 4-5 minutes, pour through a tea strainer and serve with milk or lemon
